hi everyone how are you doing?

so i recently bought FSX, after years of fs2004 i decided it was time, but it wasn't without any regrets, here's my problem.

First of all, sometimes FSX just stops working, the window will close and i'll get a message saying FSX has stopped working...

then when the game does work i found myself unable to turn while in the air... i don't know what the problem is, for a second i thought it was my joystick so i recalibrated it... nothing changed... but then i can turn while on the ground, i can ascend and descend but there is just no turning the aircraft in th air...

which i'm sure you will all agree makes flying a bit tricky

has anybody ever had similar problems?

Sounds like it could be one or many things Chris. First, what are your system specs. Second, what aircraft are you flying, what joystick are you using, what are your realism settings? Third, what addons fave you installed?

oh well i can't really tell you the computer specs its, our family home computer and i simply have no idea (mine crashed recently, looking for a new one) all i know is its windows 7 and fairly new...
as i just installed the game there are no add-ons installed at all, i'm flying the default aircrafts and it does it with all of them whether it's a cessna or boeing...

as for the joystick it's a logitech wingman 3D

Christopher, I recommend that you first go to this site http://kostasfsworld.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/ and check it out. WIN7 64b and FSX if left alone are like 2 drunks in the bar and both have a chip on their shoulder. Their is a know CTD one of the primary fixes is UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL-FIX that you find on that site. It is pretty straight forward and all it really requires is taking a specific dated dll file and dropping it into you FSX main root folder. If you just installed FSX you may want to consider using Kosta's system to do a proper install. I used to have drops and crashes all the time. Sunday I cranked up my system, flew Paris to Morocco and then spent the rest of the evening working on a aircraft panel and made about 40 aircraft restarts and not a darn problem.

Yeh Try to add the UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL into your FSX root. You should not have any more problem about FSX crashes.
