I just received my new computer (thanks R. Johnson!) but how do I set the video card to recognize FS9/FSX and set the anti-aliasing? I understand that I need to download and use NVidia Inspector but other than that I don't know how to set it up. I have the GeForce GTX 760 if that helps. Also, I hear that putting FS directly in the C: drive is best, but can I just move the file folders to the C: drive and get them out of the C:\ Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games folder or will that mess things up?

Depending on the OS, it's actually better to keep your FS on a drive separate from your OS drive.
Keep in mind that when you install FS9/FSX, it creates registry keys pointing to the directory in which your FS is placed. Simply moving the files will only result in your FS not working.

Art - You cannot just move folders when it come to the installation location of FSX. No you want FSX separate from your OS Drive. You do want a back up and crash disk should you have to reload. Either use this link:
http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-fsx-computer-system-the-bible-by-nickn_topic46211.html
or this Link
http://kostasfsworld.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/
Either one of these is good!

I installed to D:\FSX\. In your case it would be C:\FSX\ You need to install into this folder. You can't install to the default folder and then move folders/files afterwards - that won't work.

Sorry ya'll. No I didn't get a resolution. I didn't move the FS folders. I'm going to keep them in the default location. I would just be happy for it to run. I did a complete reinstall of Windows 7 (64bit) and tried again. It's a brand new computer so I didn't lose anything by trying it. It still will not run FS9 or FSX. I can start fsx but then as soon as I load a flight it CTDs. FS9 wont even load. I think my old computer is gonna have to come out of retirement and just be happy with fs9 for a while. Heck, it's worked for the past 6 years.

If you do a reinstall of windows I think you have to reinstall FSX too so the the registry entries are there. There are some good links for installing FSX we can post if you want them. We'll get this to work!!!!

Thanks Bill. After I reinstalled windows I also reinstalled FSX, SP1 and SP2. I did not install Nvidia Inspector this time. Still, it crashes as soon as I select a flight or try and start a free-flight. Also FS9 CTDs as soon as I start it. This is really frustrating.

If you're crashing on both FS9 and FSX, there's two potential problems. Make sure you're using a WHQL nVidia driver. Failing that, try another 3D game and see if it crashes. If so, you may have faulty hardware.
Cheers!

Hmm.. I tried loading X Plane and it failed too. I spoke wiith Robbie on the phone and we found the CPU cooler was a little off from the jarring it got during shipping. I'm sure that caused some of the blue screen crashes I experienced. I'll pass that on to him. What hardware could be faulty? The GPU?
