Guys, I need some orientation.
My scenery library is kinda of a mess.
I know I have to place lower detail stuff in a lower number priority. But I have Ultimate Terrain X, Scenery Tech landclass, cities and Ariports.
Can someone give a hint on how to organize it using scenery config tool?
Should they go on groups according to region, or should all scenery tech go together? same as UTX?
What goes above what? UTX above scenry tech? I know airports have to go on top of everything..
Cheers

So, in the scenery library at FSX, in this logic (estimated depending on number of airports etc...), the order and priority should go:
1,2,3....Airports
13,14,15....Cities (like Los Angeles by Aerosoft etc)
23,24,25........Scenery tech (All areas...regardless of region)
30,31,32,33.........UTX (regardless of region)....
50,51,52......All the default fax layers....
Am I correct?

I am having a problem that I just can't find an answer for. What is happening a lot of my scenery's are really jacked up. I really don't feel like trying to install the software again, but I will if I have to. I purchased ImiageSim's KCLT package for FSX and after install I went into the scenery and found that in the pull down menu for the airport it shows the default parking/runways. Could the scenery.cfg be corrupt?

John, there is a new AFCAD at the Imaginesim website. That might help if you haven't already installed it.

What happened is the scenery.cfg was corrupted somehow. I deleted it then restarted fsx to allow it to take and rebuild the default cfg file. I then reinstalled the CLT scenery and it works like it is supposed to. Now is the daunting task of adding all the scenery back in

It's all good though... It cleared out any problems I was having with my scenery. Might have to look at more freeware scenery's but oh well

It will work with both. Scenery Tech is landclass so the FTX Global textures just sit on top of it, and UTX is detailed land polygons (roads, parks etc.) and will sit on top of FTX Global. It's a good mix! I don't have the ORBX Australia but I have all the North American modules and it's fantastic. Love flying low and slow with my trusty DC-3.

they will work fine.
Just install FTX after UTX so it replaces the UTX textures

So now the tthing is, I got FTX global and FTX england. But on the settings page I can only select one at a a time? Its not possible to have both areas installed?
So if say you do a flight from Klax to Egll, you can only select either departing textures or arriving ones.
Im I getting this wrong?
