Ive had several FSX fatal errors over the past few days, never had one before. I usually get the 10 minute CTD then all returns to normal. I took off earlier around noon flying DL365 to Mexico City and when I got settled in at FL320 enjoying my 105kt headwind, I got another fatal error and FSX closed. I restarted FSX later on this evening loaded up my NGX-800 and flew ATL-BHM-CHA-GSP-ATL using AS2012 without ACARS. No crashes or fatal errors. smile

Would switching back to ACARS v2 help? The entire month of September went great with FSX/AS and Acars. Not sure why its acting up all the sudden. confused

It's been acting up on me too. I've got ACARS 3 networked on another computer. I don't need the fuel loading or payload loading with the NGX. I'd be tempted myself to rollback to 2.0.

Mine has been doing it as well. I have a friend who flies for another airline so I did there ACARS and no problems at all. It only does it on ours.

Glad it's not only me. I'm going to uninstall v3 and try v2 and see if that fixes it. Ive been using v3 since it came out and no issues until now. Flew a couple more flights after my post last night without acars and no issues so this must be it.

Just started getting problem with FSX, I dont know if it is because of ACARS but it is freezing up when I am programming the PMDG 737 FMC.

Just downgraded from ACARS v3 and installed v2 and took off on a ferry flight ATL-SAV using the NGX. AT 2233z after reaching CRZ, FSX froze up and came back just now at 2243z. No fatal errors yet cool

I'm flying using ACARS but not showing up on the map for some odd reason frown

Now FSX froze again at 2249z banghead

Going to shut down and reboot and try this flight again. Task manager says ACARS client and FSX not responding, but all is well with Ultimate Traffic 2 and Active Sky 2012

One suggestion I'd make is to turn off automatic flight saving and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks Luke, I'll try that as well. Just completed a CLT-ATL NGX ferry flight now using ACARS v2. No freezes or fatal errors. I'll be flying a few more short test runs using v2 before returning to my normal 737 caribbean-latin trips in November!
