Hey guys this is my question I have an c drive and a d drive c has 186 gb d 250 gb is it possible to install fsx to my d drive? Or does it have to go into c drive?

Some say its better to have FSX separated from the drive you have your OS installed.

I have a D drive only for all the stuff I download, and a Solid State HD for OS and FSX. It works fine with me at this point, though It will get kinda crowded in teh nearby future as I only have 250GB.

I have learned a long time ago, place FSX on its own drive. Drives are big enough and cheap enough. What I have done to make life a whole lot easier is to make sure that my C drive stays a virgin. No other programs other than those for windows system can go there. Then I install FSX and all programs related to FSX on a seperate drive. Then once I have FSX up and running with all the basic required programs like FSUIPC, FSINN, Weather, EFB and such. I first create a back disk for C: then I mirror FSX Drive. Done,, Now if C goes batshit I can just reload C. If my FSX Crash and burn I just reinstall FSX Drive.

If you are using Win7 or 8, make SURE you install FSX (and/or FS9) in their OWN directories. Don't use the default install. Just make it, C:/FSX or C:/FS9. That'll save you a LOT of grief.
