I am getting this error message on the last several flights. Any ideas on this? I am using FSX.

What version of ACARS? Is voice enabled? Does it occur with the same aircraft?

I was using Ver 2.2, It seems to only happen with the PMDG T7 that I just started to fly. As far as I know I do not have voice enabled. I was also having some problems with the aircraft freezing as well. Lately it seems to be just ACARS, I get the "not responding" then have to restart it.

There's no voice in 2.2 so that won't be it. Does it freeze with something other than the PMDG T7? Any other add ons you are running?

Have you added anything new lately? I had the same issue a few months ago after I purchased REX. I re-installed ACARS and it went way.

I do have Active Sky 2012. I did uninstall the version of ACARS and reinstalled the newer version. I did do a long flight yesterday and everything seemed to work just fine. Dumb question, what is REX? Is that another weather program? Does it play well with Active Sky?

Real Environment Xtreme.. I does play well with AS. I use it everyday. Its a texture package and weather engine for FS default clouds, taxiway, etc. I just use the weather textures in conjunction with ActiveSky. Check it out. You wont be disappointed. I flew into that snow the other day in the northeast and the clouds and weather was so real looking it kinda freaked me out. LOL
