I have a new PC running Windows 8.1. FSX loaded without problem. The killer problem is that after the scenery, etc, loads the display remains blank. You hear motors running, or if in a tutorial, you hear the instructions. Can anyone suggest what corrective actions I need to take?

I had to disable my antivirus, antispyware, etc. and make sure that my FSX is running as an administrator. This gives it the permissions to write needed temp files. I also didn't install FSX in the default partition but rather put it in C:\jim\ again to avoid file permission problems. Hope this helps.

Problem solved. I was running 2 monitors. As soon as I disconnected one of them it worked fine.
