According to the pilot center, there is a category called "SELCAL Codes." There is no explanation on what they are so what are SELCAL codes?

SEL CAL codes are for trans continental flights, using HF radios,. you have a code, ON VATSIM you have a spot where you can put he selcal in So the controller can ping you using the code.
