I have been getting these blocky/pixelated water textures. No idea how where they came from and have no idea how to repair it. I'm using Rex and have tried replacing the default FSX textures, using freeware, and reinstalling the REX textures. No matter what I use the blurry/pixelated look remains. Any suggestions?

The first picture looks fine to me...I think it has something to do with the settings for resolution. go into rex and see if you can change the settings.

It's set to DXT1. I tried 32-bit as well and it didn't make a difference. I'm running DX9 and it's set for DX9 in REX. It worked fine before, so I have no idea where this issue came from or what I changed. The textures should look sharp and crisp but you can obviously see the pixelation in the second image which shouldn't be there.

what about changing the resolution?

you can't change the resolution of the water, only runways and clouds. It also seems the animation is messed up. It's like taking two pieces of paper and moving them in two separate directions on top of eachother. it's two layers of animations going in one, albeit opposite, direction. It's hard to explain.

I don't think it's a resolution issue. Just downloaded an "HD" water texture and changed my load to 4096 in my cfg file. No difference. Still flat and pixelated.
