Scuse my ignorance here, anyway I am trying to run DVA ACARS with FSX. I rarely use FSX, because I think it is awful, and slow bloatware full of errors, usually crashing on every flight anyway. However, I noticed I could only download the PMDG 737-800 for FSX and not FS2004. I would have gladly downloaded the latter.

Getting the PMDG 737 set up along with the various Service Packs for FSX was a nightmare, about as fun as having a root canal done. Now, after all the swearing, anger and time wasted and blood pressure tablets swallowed, I am trying to get this FSX bloatware to run with DVA ACARS but keep getting the error:

[19:14:04] Not Connected

Well, when do you think there will be a version of ACARS compatible with Xplane? I love that simulator, flexible, runs properly, uses hardware properly, and I am nearly a convert to it, but love coming on here to use Delta VA and like the PMDG 737 but that means I have the use the dreadful virus called FSX. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this stuff even work?

I am also getting the error:

19:19:55] Not Connected
[19:20:00] Maybe running on WideClient, but FS not running on Server, or wrong FSUIPC
[19:20:00] Not Connected

And yet I have installed the latest version of FSUIPC.

PS Yes a few of my comments are tongue in cheek but overall I really do need this problem sorted.

Have you tried to reinstall ACARS. Worked for me a few times.

Richard, I would also check to see if you added FSX and ACARS to your firewall approved program list so they will be able to send information thru the firewall to DVA. Hope this helps
