Hi all! I have a problem with the Level-D 767. When I try to dump fuel it won't dump it. What I do is:
- Press both of the X-feed pumps on
- Press both of the nozzle valves on
- And then turn the jettison knob from off to on.
I see that the fuel is coming out of both nozzles, but when I check my fuel quantity gauge, the fuel isn't decreasing at a rapid rate. In the manual it says it should be decreasing by 2,600 lbs/min. What am I doing wrong?

Are you dumping from the center tank or wing tanks? You can dump only from the center.

Checking back through the Level-D forum, Daryl reports the functionality is broken. Happened "sometime after SP1". It wasn't reported for some time after that. The animation works, but not the functionality. An update package for the 767 has been kicked around, but no word yet. If there is, it won't be until after the 757 is out. Sorry about that.

Many Level-D 767 minds here. There was an issue many suffer from on push/start, when power is transferred from APU to engine generators, all PERF data in the FMC is lost. Was this ever fixed or was a fix made available? I hit it almost every time which is why I don't fly the 767 much. I'm a little curious also how Level-D got away with not fixing such an annoying and impactful bug if it remains unresolved.
EDIT: n/m. Looks like the workaround is here. I was never able to find this previously. What's a bit comical is the developer was talking about fixing this with the release of the Level-D 757. These thread replies are dated 2008.

That wasn't a work-around - it's a corrected gauge. And yes, the 757 has been in development for years. However, all that means is that it will be that much more advanced. You WILL see a Level-D 757, as promised. Standard disclaimer: Just keep in mind, no one in this group does flight simulation development as a primary job, so it's not like anyone's livelihood depends on it - family and r/w jobs still take precedence, but we want to see it released as much as you do.

With all due respect, it is a workaround as noted several times by Level-D developer Daryl Shuttleworth. It is discussed here, here, and here.
My concern was about the 76 which I paid a for-profit flight sim company for. I couldn't care less about the 75. However, in the links above, Daryl and Level-D made the choice to tie the 767 fix to the 757 launch date. That's a problem for paying 767 customers when you note the date of the conversation being 2008. I understand the point about not being life or death but how a paying customer spends their free time is irrelevant. Level-D software is not freeware.

Sorry Jason, but that replacement gauge is the fix. The workaround was the one contributed by a user that had to be deleted before using the replacement gauge. The problem is, not everyone HAD that issue with Acceleration. Most people had no problem. I'm guessing it wasn't that easy to find the issue if you couldn't reproduce it. I never had it, nor did anyone else on the team I'm aware of. That's why the released the gauge to everyone, to test.

Thanks Bob, as long as it works, that's what's important. I have to wait to test it myself. Gotta finish this leg into RCTP first. Thank you.
EDIT: Happy to report the gauge fix worked for me 1st try and resolved both the multiple engine start sound issues as well as the loss of PERF data in the FMC during electrical bus cutover. It was only the 1st try but given the failure rate in the past this is a really good sign. I now have another long haul Boeing in active duty.
