In the fleet picture library, the L-100 shows as a what appears to be a C-130 variant ink a delta paint. I have searched the flight schedule for ant L-100 Flights both past and present and see none. I can not find any info on the net about the history of Delta flying one. Can anyone fill me as to the history of this aircraft as it pertains to Delta?

I believe it will be listed in Historic flts as L-10.. I Googled Delta L-100 and see a lot of sites about our L-100..

Yeah...lol. That is what happens when you type the wrong thing in the search box. I'll look for the L10

The L-10 is actually a different aircraft than the L-100. The L-10 is the plane Amelia Earhart used for her around-the-world flight while the L-100 is a variant of the C-130 Hercules.

That is what I thought because ACARS has the L10 and a L100 listed so I figured they were different. I was just curious because I have a really cool herc sim and thought it would be cool to earn some hours and mileage and hours but there are no routes in ACARS for the L100. Lots for the L10. I know it doesn't matter too much since I can fly the L100 on any route really.

Jason, if you have a C-130 sim you like fire it up and fly. You have the rating and the world is your oyster.

I believe I read somewhere that one of it's uses was to carry aircraft parts to airports where Delta aircraft were being repaired. I think they used them for standard freight as well.

Thanks for the info. After I started this thread I realized that in my initial google search I was typing k100 in the search box which is why I found no information at all on these flights. Too bad that I can not find a reprint of the delta colors for the captain sim c130. I have no clue how to repaint aircraft :-(

Apparently someone did one back in 2006 for the FS9 version, but I can't even find that on Avsim any longer. It would be nice if someone did one in Delta colors. Always liked the Hercy Bird. Our local Air Guard unit has been flying them for years and anytime they fly over I just have to look up.
