Alright, so I built myself a much needed new PC. It has an EVGA 760 running and 2 1920x1080 monitors hooked up to it. Now here is where the 10 million dollar question comes into play.
How do I set up FSX to run across both screens like a panoramic view of the 3D cockpit for example?
Any help is appreciated and if there is no hope for this sim in this matter, then i'm looking into PREPAR3D and X-Plane. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

I was going to tell you about nVidia "Surround" which will do that, but it needs two cards. From the nVidia control panel help file:
"NVIDIA® Surround (and NVIDIA® 3D Vision Surround for systems with 3D Vision) combines multiple displays to act as one larger display to allow a panoramic view of full-screen games or your desktop. The controls also let you adjust the displays to compensate for monitor bezel gaps for more realistic viewing of full-screen games."
"NVIDIA Surround is supported only on Windows 7 and later Windows operating systems, and requires at least two SLI-ready GeForce 200 series or later graphics cards installed OR one Kepler-based NVIDIA graphics card."
Found this video regarding stretching, zoom, and FSX. This may not apply to your problem, but I found it interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjbCFNSofpk

It does not need two GPUs for Kepler or later, but surround does require 3 nearly identical monitors (no support for 2).

Alright, so with the 2 screen option out of the way, I managed to get everything back into FSX. Now, i'm running a very powerful computer but still see frame drops in max settings. What can I do to fix this issue?
Computer Specs:
Intel i5 3.5 GHz
EVGA 760 2GB OC
16 GB Ram
1 SSD Drive
4 Terabytes raid
1000 watts power supply
Windows 7 Pro

Probably not going to be able to do much. FSX is fairly stupid when it comes all the hardware that is considered "standard" for gaming these days. We're up to DirectX 11 and FSX only offers a "preview" of DirectX 10. Even though you have a maxed 64-bit system, FSX is only going to use the first 4GB of RAM and even THEN it's going to use the memory inefficiently. Microsoft did us all a major dis-service when they decided to shelve the FSX project in favor of that short-lived free-to-play abomination. Aces Game Studio was bought by Microsoft, set to work on developing and releasing FSX, and then after the Acceleration Pack was released the company was shut down by Microsoft.
Members of the now-defunct Aces regrouped and started another company across town dealing with simulations, but apparently their big project now is a scuba simulator. http://www.cascadegamefoundry.com/our-team/ I sent them an an email begging them to get Microsoft to hand over ownership of the FS title, but in their reply they said that while they'd LOVE to bring FSX up-to-date, Microsoft has a death-grip on the title even though they have no current plans to do anything with it.

I looked into Prepar3d and their website says their software is prohibited for personal use. None of their license options allow use in a private home.
As provided in our End User License Agreement, the Prepar3D application is not to be used, offered, sold or distributed through markets or channels for use as a personal/consumer entertainment product.

Yeah. I will be using for "student pilot" duties...a lot of people buying don't care just because they grabbed FSX and did what Microsoft never did, make a working simulator. The reason they have that in their EULA is because Microsoft don't want them to sell it as a game or they will loose all their customers.

I see. As I'm in the IT field, it would be extremely hypocritical of me to be enforcing license agreements of software used by my user-base and then ignoring the license agreements myself.
