Aidan,

As of January, there was no editor for Delta FLY! so there is no current production scheduled that I'm aware of.

In the past there were several editors that did some or all of the work on the issue. Will a few writers and photographers, someting could be done, but it's hard for any one DVA member to do as most of us either have a full-time job, or are full-time students.

Good question. We would like to produce at least one issue a year. As Caleb reported the task is significant requiring many hours of work soliciting articles, laying out the publication and producing it. The result is high burnout rate on our Editors. We posted the position since July 2013 without interest.

Currently senior staff is considering a different format that would use shorter articles and would not require graphics. The thinking being that we could reduce workload and amount of time needed to write articles. Perhaps then interest in submitting news items and also reading them would increase. This is still conceptual with no timeline to implement.
