I have Navigraph FMS data manager, and I have the latest cycle, 1405. My quality wings 757 displays this cycle, but my PMDG 737 does not. How do I get the FMC on the PMDG 737 to utilize the 1405 cycle?

Install it in the Main FSX folder, that should do the trick.

Ok, I put the 1405 cycle in the main FSX folder, but my IRS won't align, and the FMC in my PMDG still reads NAV DATA - NOT LOADED. Any suggestions?

Here's where my AIRAC 1405 files are for the PMDG aircraft (Note: I installed FSX onto the root of my C: drive):
Does your Navigraph have the following set for the PMDG directory?
Mine gets updated every cycle without a problem.

You cannot just put it in the folder, there should be an installer to install it with.

Joe, the Navigraph FMS Manager handles the install on its own if the directory is properly set up.

http://www.navigraph.com/FmsDataManager.aspx like anything from Navigraph, you'll have to pay for the AIRAC cycles, but the data manager supports most of the major third-party aircraft and flight planners (like PFPX) as well as FSX and P3D. They recently added TOPCAT to the list of products supported. Every AIRAC cycle I have all my stuff updated within about 15 minutes.

I had the following happen with the Wilco CRJ for FS9. AIRAC files were installed but because Navigraph doesn't do TP for that aircraft, the TP file that came with the Wilco install (date 2004) was not overwritten by a new file. In the FMC the cycle continued to show the 2004 date.

They have the Wilco CRJs in there:
So they aren't installing all the data?

Manually applying Navigraph updates in the past wasn't too much of a bother, especially given the benefit they provide. However the Data Manager is real nice.

With regards to the PMDG line of aircraft, all you need to do is make sure the FMS Data manager is pointing to whatever folder FSX is in. The data manager then assumes there will be a \PMDG\NAVDATA underneath the FSX folder and saves the updated AIRAC files there. If you had set up the FMS Data Manager to point to (FSX)\PMDG, then you'll find an ADDITIONAL \PMDG under it with a NAVDATA subfolder... resulting in (FSX)\PMDG\PMDG\NAVDATA Your PMDG aircraft won't be able to use that.
If this is the case, copying the contents of (FSX)\PMDG\PMDG\NAVDATA to (FSX)\PMDG\NAVDATA should solve the problem.

Doesn't look like it. The only "C" is the CaptainSim line.

This is from a year or so ago... There are indeed AIRACs for the FS9 Wilco CRJ but no SID/STAR support.
http://www.navigraph.com/FmsDataManualInstall.aspx
The only SID/STAR one got was with the CRJ install. So all CRJ AIRAC files are updated except that one. And it seems because of that the FMC kept showing AIRAC cycle 2004.

Just had a thought... (I know... a rare event) Could the reason your IRS isn't aligning and your FMC complaining that the nav data isn't loaded be that you haven't initialized your position on the FMC POS screen yet? The IRS needs a starting position before it can finish aligning. On the 737NGX if you enter the airport ICAO code on the POS screen of the FMC, you should be able to continue aligning your IRS and the FMC shouldn't complain about missing nav data.

Ok, I got it figured out. The 7 files from the current cycle I had to input in two places. If I took out the FMCWP file containing NavData (which has the 7 files), out of Navdata I would get NAV DATA - NOT LOADED. If I took out the 7 files listed separately under Navdata, I would get a steady ALIGN and ON DC light and a ringing bell. Now that they're both in there, it's working fine. Thanks everyone.
