Just read that Virgin Atlantic will fly direct from London Heathrow to Atlanta from October 26th, VS103 and VS104 will be operated by A330-300 aircraft, obviously DVA will be operating it with a 744 in this case wink

They've had the alliance for some time now. Delta owns nearly half of Virgin Atlantic. Plus, they have anti-trust immunity.

I'm curious about this too. Currently it does LHR-BOS as VIR11 and VIR12.

I've heard that Northwest's pilot contract expires in 2019. Since Delta's 787 "orders" were handed down from NWA, all of Delta's pilots that were formerly NWA will be flying the 787. But once the contract expires, then Delta can use any pilots on it. So Delta probably won't actually get the 787 until 2019.

That was what I heard from a current Delta employee. So for now we are stuck with code shares for 787 flights here at DVA haha.
