You have to get the 777 or 747 ratings at DVA to get the A340 ratings.

No, the A330 program only gives you the A300 and A310 ratings.

The 747-400 rating will also give you the A340 rating. Just look at Pilot Accomplishments and scroll down to the people who just got the 747-400 ratings.

You can check these in the pilot handbook. There's a section that tells you which ratings you receive for each equipment type program.

You do get it with the 747 rating along with the 777 rating. We need to update the Pilot Manual..

I have the B747 rating and both the A330 and A380; i don't have the A340 in my rating list though...Can i still fly it?

I did Don, however it doesn't feature in my ratings list and i get all kinds of warnings from ACARS saying i'm not allowed to fly with it; plus I can't edit a booking to fly an A340 as i don't have that rating in my list

Go to "Request additional ratings" on the Pilot Center, and request the A340 ratings from either the 777 or 747 program.
