I'd say there starting to gust more than 27kts now. More like 30-35-40. Right now it's going just about straight north, so 160-180 or so. If you're looking for a nice windy approach, this would be a good day to practice a manaual landing.

It's all calm except for a light drizzle. Lot's of branches and small trees down north of the airport. I saw one report that gusts were as high as 68 mph (59 kts).

CLT had 4 gusting to 27 a few weeks ago. I've never seen that large of a change in wind.
