I bought what I thought was a decent headset from Logitech (a G430) and took good care of it. (No, REALLY!) It lasted for about 5 months and just recently the earpiece with the boom mic literally fell off the headband with the plastic frame that was holding it in place falling to the floor in pieces. banghead

Can anyone recommend a headset that isn't going to fall apart every six months? (The first person to suggest a Dave Clark headset will get fatal glares from my lazer eyeballz!) judge

Larry, any of the Turtle Beach headphones are outstanding. you can get wired or wireless via Bluetooth. I have the XP7 pair and by far are superior. but can range price too for what you want and need.

I've got the G930's from Logitech and they are holding up remarkably well. Only issue I had was due to my wireless feedback on the 2.4 ghz frequency from my son's Xbox. Simply changing the channel on the router that fixed that. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104399 Yeah, they aren't cheap, but after going through several headsets, I decided to go with something decent. They are wireless too!

The mounting of the earpieces for the G930 looks just like the mounting for the G430. I'll have to compare the pictures to my G430 when I get home from work.

Another option, my Plantronics has lasted about 5 years now. It is the Audio series line, about $20 at Best Buy. I will probably get another when this one quits.
