I was just opening FSX one day when I decided to shut it off. When I tried to reboot it, I get "The selected Boot Image did not authenticate." How do I fix this? I would really like to get back into FSX!

I took this thing apart, only to put it back on again. Now, the problem is even worse. Nothing will appear on my laptop and Wi-Fi is disabled.

You took it apart? Why? This is an error between the operating system and the hard drive. Repairing the O/S usually fixes the issue. Try to disable Secure Boot in the laptop's BIOS: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn481258.aspx

I took it apart because I thought I had a processor problem as well. I can't repair the O/S, and secure boot won't work.

That's why you need to disable Secure Boot in your BIOS and switch to "Legacy" boot. Most computers/laptops built since Win 8 came out have the Secure Boot option set by default in BIOS. If you turn it off, it stops being picky about what drivers you're trying to load on boot-up.

I already tried legacy boot and I get the message a lot of people have been getting. Here it is. "No bootable device found, please insert boot disk."

That sounds like a corrupted boot sector, then. You'll need the O/S disk that came with the laptop to run a repair.

Yeah, Dell and HP like to do that. With their computers, you're expected to burn the recovery disks yourself using the utility they install on the hard drive. Of course, if you wait until the hard drive won't boot... Usually your only recourse then is to contact the laptop manufacturer and have them send you the O/S disk - which they will KINDLY charge you an arm and a leg for (or at least shipping).

I tried to burn a recovery disk but for some reason, my DVD-roms will not accept the recovery and refuse to burn it.
