Im getting ready to buy a new CPU so I can put FSX back on. I was wondering what would work to run FSX wide open. The computer I'm thinking about is HP 110-243wb Desktop PC with AMD A4-5000 Quad-Core Processor, 8GB Memory, 21.5" Monitor, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 8.1. Any comments or help would be AWESOME!

I would go for Intel / Geforce instead of AMD. My case is i4930K / 780gtx, which works great, but rather expensive.
If you follow the tweaks by Kosta - (http://kostasfsworld.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/) - you will offload part of the game to GPU, so CPU isn't the only thing to look at.

I wouldn't recommend getting anything prebuilt, they tend to under perform for the price. If you don't want to build it yourself I build and ship PCs so you can feel free to shoot me an email if you're interested.

There are AMD processors that are very capable of handling FSX just fine, but I would not suggest the A4 for that. I would recommend anything in the AMD FX processor line that is a 6300 or above. IMO you can not beat the price to performance ratio that you get out of the FX processors. I am currently running a FX-6300, 8GB of RAM and an AMD R7 265 video card. After running my FSX.cfg through the Ventubo tweaks, my FPS never drops below high 20's with Ultra settings and max AI traffic. Admittedly, before running the tweaks my FPS were in the low teens, so just doing that makes a huge difference. I also agree with the previous poster about not buying an off the shelf PC if you can avoid it.

Check this hardware guide. If you want to run FSX at max you'll need to optimize hardware.
Also, just a little pet peeve of mine, but if you're posting specs for a FS (or gaming) computer, the 2 important things are CPU and GPU. Not your quantity of RAM or storage, most people will be hard-pressed to use all of 8GB RAM or 500GB storage, let alone the 16GB RAM and 1TB+ storage that is typical for desktops now. If you're going to mention those, mention the r/w speed.
It always amuses me when stores emphasize features that most people won't notice anyways (like 2 TB storage instead of 1 TB) while not listing the parts that you will notice, i.e. computing power. Just a way to get more money, though.
