Hi all, jus wondering... Ive been running fsx on a 3 year old HP Pavilion gor a while now with no real problems.
Im considering the HP pavilion 15-n269si with the intel hd 4000 video card.
Anyone have experience on this laptop and how it runs fsx?

Sorry...But HP never. You better going with Sony Vaio or others. Dell, Toshiba and HP is out of the question. Had those before and worst Laptop and Desktop PCs ever.

Correct, my laptop that failed on me was an HP laptop. Stay away from AMD as well; that laptop had an AMD processor/GPU.

Also that is correct. Choose the ones with Intel i5 up.

I work in accounting of a pretty large retailer. Part of my job is to handle claims with our suppliers. When it comes to laptops all cheap ones are about the same when it comes to breaking down, but if we speak about pricier ones HP is actually the best, followed by Lenovo and Sony. Toshiba seems to have some series that are just awful (others are OK in general). Hope that helps. Oh and AMD's are a problem after a while of use. They generally need more cooling, so dust accumulation is more noticeable as time goes on.
Hope that helps.
And I remembered one more thing. It's a HUGE difference in HP that comes from "real" HP line, and those that come from ex. compaq line, later beeing worse.

Are you considering this for FS? I know people do it, but I don't understand how anyone can play FS on a laptop.

This. I have a dedicated FSX desktop and a cheap $300 laptop for travel.
