Hi there,
Last night I followed this Youtube video to change my setting on fsx.
"How to set FSX to start up in Cold & Dark mode"..........

Since I made default as I saved as cold & dark start 757 flight, fsx is not loading.
I get " A fatal error occurred" message then fsx is keep trying reload over and over again............
Anyone got an idea?

I have PMDG 737NGX and using vPilot for VATSIM on my computer.

I strongly believe that the problem here lies in saving a more sophisticated aircraft as a default.
So you need to back up your FSX.CFG file and then delete the one you currently have, FSX should create a new one upon loading.
And as a Pilot in Command it's purely your responsibility for any actions you perform on your PC (even though, no one had any harm from this operation before, I have to put this line) razz

Fixed it!
Everything came back after what I did as you said.
My finger is grounded and on special training to have to be little more patient............. smile

If you made a 3rd party aircraft your default aircraft at FSX startup, that can cause the problem you are having. Especially when launching FSX and flaps lever on your quadrant are not at full up position. The best practice is to not use a 3rd party add on aircraft as your default aircraft in FSX when launching. Learned this myself the hard way.

I have launched the default C172 as my loading fsx as cold and dark. Then I just select the B752 into it.

I am able with the cs757 to shut everything down, all switches to off, all korrys to off, hook up external power not activate just make it available, and save all the panel states. like brightness, and switch settings,
I then click save flight and save as default, Then ill load that flight and it will load cold and dark exactly how i had it before every time.

I just decided to do a little more finger work since I had a hard time with this issue........ wink

I really like your system. I saw your system picture from other website a couple of months ago.....You are popular guy! I used to have a Triple Head2Go(Analog version) with 3 monitors but not anymore. I just use 2 monitors and I miss Triple Head2Go a lot........How did you connect all monitors? I know you are using ipad for FMC which I will get set it up soon.

hey dan, i was thinking of getting triplehead2go but it was nearly 300$ i am using a 7970 amd card that supports up to 6 displays using eyefinity. Eyefinity works like NVIDIA surround but true
wide screen extended desktop in any arrangement,. my desktop is configured as you see it on the desk on screen. so if my cursor is on my MIP i can move the cursor up and its lined up with the center top monitor which allows me to reach up to my overhead panel without scrolling lateraly across the stack. left monitor DVI
center monitor HDMI
right monitor mini Display port to active DVI-D
lower MIP monitor Mini DP to active DVI-D
f/o right lower monitor dvid splitter with lower left

all monitors 1980x1080 top 3 span displays 5870 1080 and lower each are 1920x1080

Wow....supports for 6 displays! It seems like a really good set up to try with 7970 AMD Radeon. I remember my very first AMD Radeon had an amazing graphic work. It's late for me to try whole new system change to like yours. I built a new computer a year ago. And waiting to get a digital version of Triple Head2Go but it's expensive as we all know. I better wait until next computer build. I hope I can find out something that I can do for better flying. I research to overclocking my CPU now. It's 50/50 attemption to do since I am not sure it's ok to do it. Have you done that with your system?

I overclocked my CPU and GPU (from 915MHz to 980MHz) last night and it's amazing. I started from 4.5GHz but system crashed. At 4.3GHz, it was OK and I lowered to 4.2GHz for better sleep............. smile

I also used NVIDIA Inspector as first time. With these two things changed, I get a fantastic graphics I never had before. very satisfied. I use Speccy and GPU Shark to monitoring temp and other performance. They are all good.
