Just a notice to anyone looking to fly into Burlington Vermont,

In the real world today there is only runways 5-23, whereas when FSX was first created, they had a runway 33-15. Last night FSX ATC cleared me to land on runway 33, and did not give me an option to switch to 23, which my FMC was prepared for.

So just keep this in mind, even though I doubt many people fly into small unknown airports such as this one.

Cheers

Thanks the heads up, Chris.

Just a question for clarification: is your warning for CRW (Charleston, WV) or BTV (Burlington, VT)?

Well, having flown into Charlie West a number of times RW the only RW rwy there is 5/23. Never had VATSIM ATC clear me into anything but 5/23.

(There is a free ORBX KCRW available in one of their packs that also has the extension the 23/5 & closed RWY which is now taxi way C.)

Have no idea which ATC or airport Chris is talking about.

Hey guys, sorry about that. I just checked my log book and it is indeed KCRW which is Charleston in West Virginia. I had just finished a flight into Burlington aswell, thats why i mixed the two up.

And as for ATC, it is FSX ATC, the default one.

KCRW, thats the airport people need to be aware of when flying into. RW 33 at KCRW no longer exists, and is now a taxiway in todays world, whereas in FSX it is still a runway.

(chuckle) Well pretty much anything that is original FSX has to be checked against current approach/taxi plates. FSX doesn't change the scenery unless it is an add-on.

CRW is one of my pure favorites to fly into in real life. Those drop offs on the approach to runway 23 are beautiful and challenging!
