For those who fly FSX and have found themselves locked onto a taxiway when landing rwy 36L at KDFW, I have created a fix using Airport Design Editor 9.x.

The back story is that at the time Microsoft coded FSX, the real world KDFW was in the process of lengthening rwy 36L. In order to prevent the construction equipment from interfering with the localizer signal and the fact that the localizer antennae would have to be relocated due to the runway lengthening, they temporarily relocated the localizer antennae off to the side of runway 36L. A NOTAM was issued at the time along with a published side step procedure for runway 36L.

Apparently Microsoft coded this into KDFW in FSX rather than coding it with correct localizer placement not taking into account that this was only a temporary measure during construction time.

Download and unzip this folder into your FSX/Addon Scenery folder, then add it through the Scenery Library in FSX. Enjoy!
