Just a note to remind pilots to use the Comments section in ACARS to include any relevant information or notes about their flight prior to submitting the report. This is the opportunity for the pilot to share info on why they may have had to go around, a hold by VATSIM ATC, a perceived crash, or other aspect of the flight that may appear "funky". Providing this ahead of time will get your flight report reviewed and approved sooner.
In the case of held flight reports, staff will not hold a flight unless it doesn't meet the requirements as outlined in the Pilot Manual. Please communicate with the reviewer about what happened so we can sort through it. DVA staff volunteer their time to perform this action as a service to open dialog with pilots and provide the human element essential to DVA.
Held flight reports are typically held for a week, sometimes more, while we wait for the pilot to respond. We don't like to reject flight reports but keep in mind that communication is a two-way street.
Thanks for your attention. Please feel free to email your ACP or CP's with questions or use the help desk or cooler.
Its great to see so much activity here and that we continue to grow and add new pilots weekly.
