Shanghai Airlines will begin a codeshare with Delta this summer. Link here for more details: http://airlineroute.net/2015/04/01/dlfm-codeshare-s15/ I was just wondering if a new airline can be installed into the database to prepare for these new flights (Shanghai Airlines' IATA code is FM).

Thanks for sharing Darren. We'll monitor and add if necessary. It may already be there. I would just need to turn it on if it is. Keep in mind only flights that Delta codeshares would show up, not all the Shanghai flights in their schedule database.

Intersting note, Darren. RW Delta is in the process of aquiring 5 of Shanghai's 757s, one of which was the last 757 that Boeing built! Happy flying!

Well, Matt, Mr. Anderson just announced a possible Shanghai hub, and we have moved into Terminal 1 with China Eastern and Shanghai. From a news release:

“By relocating our operations and growing our partnership with China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines, Delta will offer the most comprehensive intra-China network at Shanghai airport for our customers in the United States and China," Vinay Dube, S.V.P.–Asia-Pacific, said in a release. "For the past several years Delta consistently enhanced nonstop service between China and the U.S., and we look forward to adding to our network new service between Los Angeles and Shanghai beginning in July.”

For you DVA Pacific fliers, start working on your Chinese: "Wo Ai Da Mei” (I Love Delta)

Yahoo! I've spent the past few months virtually flying DVA flights throughout China. I had no idea how beautiful that country is/was.
It's terribly plagued by pollution now which will be a very tough situation to deal with.

While flying, I research the destination I'm travelling to so I can learn about the locations. I can say I have a much different view
of China since commencing those DVA flights.

Can't wait to do additional Shanghai flights..!!

The schedule database that we update quarterly has not been updated in some time. The providers of the schedule were recently bought out and upped their price significantly. We're currently exploring other options. For the time being, please be patient while we work on a solution. The schedule is still updated daily but some hiccups along the way are inevitable. We're working on it at a high level to resolve. This affects AFVA also. In the meantime, I've added a bunch of more historical flights from PA and Delta.
