Hi all

I have a couple of questions which are probably going to seem very stupid. I was wondering, do I actually have to create a draft flight plan before I fly the flight or can I just search the schedule through ACARS and fly what ever flight I want? The second is that should I choose to divert to my filed alternate or to the most suitable alternate, can I still file the flight plan without it being rejected?

Thanks

Christopher Littlewood

You can fly what ever route, you want as long as your rated for the aircraft, or use a alternate aircraft that can make the flight safely. As far a Diversions, You can but your report will be held in till you reach the planned destination.

Please read threw the Pilot Manual. Most questions can be answered that way.

I almost always create a draft flight plan. That way I have the option for 14 days I think of flying it and it still being valid. Some Delta flights today are only on some days of the week and don't always show up in the schedule database.

Ok thanks for the help. I will have a look at the pilot manual as well.
