Pan Am, in its race to beat TWA across the Atlantic in 1946, subsequently in 1947 expanded the routes further south all the way to South Africa. Added these fine Connie flights for your use. For some reason, Pan Am chose LGA as the origin of these flights as opposed to Idlewild (JFK).

Schedule Database: PAH
Flight Numbers: 5103,5104
Route: KLGA-LPAZ-LPPT-GOOY-DGAA-FZAA-FAOR

btw FAOR is the new ICAO code for Johannesburg, if you're flying FS9 (not sure about FSX or P3D) its still FAJS

FAOR didn't exist at the time (you said these were 1947 flights). Instead, there was a military airport called Palmietfontein airport, which was used as backup while FAOR was under construction. I don't know the ICAO code for the airport, however, and I'm not sure if there are any sceneries for it. If that occurs, could you please move the Constellation flights to one of Johannesburg's other airports (Rand airport, FAGM, or Grand Central, FAGC)?

Maybe Andrew would be able to answer this better than I, but I seem to remember the Pan American Berlin flights were changed from Tempelhof to Tegel because Tempelhof is currently closed. FAOR might be a concession to the modern airspace system.
I did a little research into Palmietfontein, it seems to have been de-commissioned in time for an auto race to be held in it's location in 1956. I think that pre-dates IATA and ICAO airport codes (but I'm not 100% sure on that).

Yes. I'm a bit hesitant to add older airports that are now closed. Pilots are having issues trying to find some airports in FSX or FS9 that exist in the other version. ACARS doesn't like when you land in what is now a park. I had to do this with the Berlin airports. Plus, some pilots have been flying to airports that can't support their aircraft as far as runway length and this is less likely keepng FAOR as the primary airport for Johannesburg.

Understood. I'll just fly there like it's 1953, when the airport was finished.

Glad you're enjoying these new routes even though they're to "future" airports. smile

There is one i really wanted to add to the white knuckles club but its closed down. Its in Ecuador or something and has a mountain on one side. I forgot which one. Anyway, its not there anymore and I couldn't find any scenery for it for FS2004 or FSX. Its a park or something today. I got most of them on that list except Courcheval and the one in Nepal.

Old Quito airport, which was closed in 2013. However, this means the default scenery in FSX/FS2004 is usable.
