I'm having a repeatable issue with FSX. Most of my flights are experiencing Fatal Errors at least once during the flight (no more than twice). Some flights going north from the west coast or Salt Lake City don't seem to have this issue but any flight going east from SLC or flying over Florida causes the Fatal Error. I reinstalled FSX when the issue first popped up some time ago. I have the MegaScenery files for the lower 48 and Hawaii and I'm wondering if that's the issue.
Any ideas?

If you have AI or awsome scenery, its probley eating up your memory. I suggest turning you ai to 25 and the scenery to low. If you have a complicated plane, then lower down the settings! Keep me posted

Download this file: http://www.ramoonus.nl/2010/01/01/the-fix-to-microsoft-flight-simulator-x-crash-on-windows-7-x64/ it will fix the issue i bet put it in fsx folder replacing the old file

Larry, I have had this happen as well, I hit the in game menu button. Sometimes it will crash. I'm on fsx steam as well. I'm running windows 8.1

Marcello, I downloaded the dll you linked to and I thought I was good. But 1 1/2 hrs into a flight from SLC to AUS it crashed. To make matters worse, when I hit recover in ACARS it gave me a recovery error and that ended that flight. This is driving me nutz. I'm now afraid to run a flight more than 90 minutes for fear it'll crash and/or not allow the recovery in ACARS.

Is it happening only when you are flying with ACARS? If it is I suggest to do what I did. It happened to me very often like 2~3 times a week. I fixed that pain with unblocking firewall.

I had it happen again, every time I accidentally hit a button to take me to a menu, it will crash. Marcello I am going to see if what you posted will fix it.  I haven't had much time to especially since I'm working this weekend.

Larry, are the crashes primarily happening with your Airbus?
Joe, I avoid FSX menus like the plague once a flight is started just to be on the safe side...even with the .dll fix. Wait, don't you have the Steam version? I'm pretty sure FSX SE already comes with the .dll fix installed.

Yes sir, steam still crashes though. In game menu will do that. I do have some add on aircraft but mainly it's the DVA fleet. I do have delta livery though for the CRJ 700

the only bird I fly at this point is the Airbus. I hadn't thought about it but I'm working on the PMDG 737 so I can duplicate my last flight with that aircraft and see what happens.

Larry, the reason I mentioned it is because I have noticed the developer of your Airbus does not always produce the smoothest running FSX add ons (I prefer not to mention the developer's name in this thread...feel free to e-mail me). I suggest trying the same flight in the default Airbus or Project Airbus and see if it locks up.
