Hey all,

So I was browsing Google to see if I can find any Delta Plane skins for fsx steam to download for free, well one link I visited which I can't even remember then link now, took me to this page but then it said your browser is out of date, update it now. I attempted to click the tab x nothing, I clicked x on a pop up message saying your computer internet browser needed to be updated. I went back into Internet explorer and it was freezing. Anyways I was able to get out of Internet explorer, anyways I am afraid I may have a virus of some kind. I ran a full security scan nothing. I have reset Internet explorer browser to factory default, it runs just like it did when I got my computer. Anyways, now when I go into fsx steam edition some things load some don't. idk what's going on? Like when I'm flying I'll hit the help button then it acts like it is loading then not. Like the help button has tutorials, and such. I click off it takes forever to load and it didn't before. Also when I boot up fsx steam it is taking a little bit longer to load. I don't know what to do?

Maybe someone out there can help a fellow flight simulator? Thanks

In IE, click the tool widget icon at the top right. Click "manage addons" and look to see what is running. Sounds like you may have installed malware on your computer.

Download malwarebytes (its free) and run it. See if that clears everything up. Do some searched in google to see what you can find. When this has happened to me in the past, I've tried 6-7 different things and one of them seems to do the trick.

Some malware on browsers are nasty buggers. If all else fails reinstall IE. If it still has issues, reinstall Windows and your browser and start over.

Thank you Andrew. I chatted with geek squad support this morning, they said it was some kind of adware or malware. I went ahead and uninstalled fsx steam, am reinstalling it to see if it works like it did before. Crossing my fingers. Hopefully I won't have any problems.

Avoid Geek Squad they will charge you a ton of money for something you can do yourself. I am a computer tech and what Andrew said is correct Malware Bytes and/or also try CC cleaner both are free solutions that will clean up the PC.

I also recommend getting away from IE. Use Firefox or Chrome!

Thank you Marcello. smile I actually have tech support for geek squad for two years. I am actually going to look into firefox instead of IE. I do have malware bytes now. wink
