Have you ever seen the television programs about the most extreme airports? Well, we’ve included in this accomplishment many of those featured as well as some others which offer a challenging approach and landing. However, you must fly “to” all the airports on the list. Some of these destinations include Tegucigalpa in Honduras, St. Maarten, St. Barths, and Maderia. You’ll have to do your homework to find the valid routes into these locations (hint Pan Am and Delta Historical Schedules).

You may have to search the freeware web sites to find the airport scenery to add. Be sure also to check on the runway lengths and limitations. You shouldn’t be attempting to fly a 747 to Tegucigalpa, or a 737 to St. Barths. Some airports were not officially flown by Delta or its codeshares but we’ve made a special exception for this accomplishment. These are some of the most spine tingling airports to fly to in real life and should provide a fun challenge.

New airports added as part of this accomplishment are: Gibraltar, Madeira, St. Barths, London City Airport, Vienna, and Paro in Bhutan. You'll have to fly to all 34 on the list though!

We hope you'll enjoy this accomplishment!

Sounds like a great challenge for many here at DVA. I don't think the pocket rocket in the hangar at my home airport (KROA) will be able to make the journey there. Lol,

Could you please change the equipment for the London City flights to the DHC-7? I'm saying this because I don't think the 727 was allowed to make the approach in real-life, but the DHC-7 was.

Nice accomplishment! Watch out for Paro. Check out 21) (8).

Bad news is I have 27 of 34 completed. Good news is only 6 airports show up in the still required list so there is hope.

I think there still a discrepancy in the airport count versus the airports listed as required for this achievement. The achievement triggers with one arrival airport less than the total airports listed as required for the achievement. ie. 34 airports are enumerated in the description but only 33 of those 34 are required leaving one left.

I still had Gibralter - United Kingdom (LXGB) left when the achievement unexpectedly fired for me this morning. I have not flown into LXGB yet but was planning to today for the final one.

I added an airport since the inception of this accomplishment but I didn't increase the number of airports. If I'd done this. some who have achieved the accomplishment would achieve it again. We don't take things away from pilots at DVA like ratings or accomplishments. By adding an airport to the list but not changing the total number needed, the system triggered that you need 33 of 34 possible airports. The same goes for some of the other accomplishments like the commuter conquest. I added several aircraft since it existed and kept the same number required.

Congrats on achieving the white knuckles club! I hope this clarifies.
