So I have been flying a modded FS9 to circa 1957-1965 era, using Silver Wings and a few extras from www.calclassic.com and was wondering if there is a propliner area. There is a lot of info out there, www.timetableimages.com has most airline timetables going back as far as the 1920's. I love to fly the ole' round engine airplanes far more than the automated hairdryers of today.

If this already exists, whom ever runs it please message me, or point me in the direction of the required reading and testing!

Thanks, Mav

(PS OH! sorry, that pic is way bigger than I thought it was! But that is a BEAUTIFUL airplane ain't it?)

Well, you've joined the right VA. In stage 3 you can be rated to fly the propliners. In your Pilot Center will be a lot of manuals and info on what it takes to get through successive stages. I'd recommend the Pilot manual first. There is so much information in those manuals, prepared by many of our members, to guide you through a successful and enjoyable time here at DVA. Glad to have you Maverick, and hope you enjoy your many future flights.

Wow, that is a spectacular picture, to be sure! Under the guidance of Captain Vane and volunteer efforts, the classic era of prop and jet DVA schedule has expanded recently to cover the globe. You will find hours and hours of flying challenges. I am a RW Delta pilot and volunteer at the Delta Flight Museum. I have devoted a fair amount of study time propliner era flying. Feel free to message me or email me if you have questions to which you cannot find the answer.

Thanks for the info guys. I am a RW pilot as well. Still working on the ten flights in the 37, probably my least favorite Boeing. More of a Mad Dog fan, I like them round gauges...

Well, Sid...??...maybe a beautiful picture of a plane?...or a picture of a plane? Not sure about your question marks, but it certainly is a great color picture for the period. Thank you again for all your work with the DC-6 program. Take care.
