Much thanks to Kyle Bjorklund for contributing these great flights. Fly a DC-3 on a multi-leg journey from Chicago to either Seattle or Portland. Adds a new airport KMLS (Miles City MT).

DVH Flights 1300 through 1305.

Come explore the great northern US in a prop liner!

a little piece of history Miles City was the site of NWA flight 1 crash in 1939, with only 2 passengers on board.

One of the roles I inherited was to create a DC-3 manual. haven't gotten around to it yet unfortunately.

I"m working on a more detailed answer Alaa but this link: http://fuelplanner.com/ has a DC-3 and you may be able to back into what sort of fuel you'll need to for journey and what the components are.

Also, some discussion on flightsim.com here: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?220819-DC-3-fuel-mileage

Very impressed features and performance. I feel much better to seat on this DC-3 cockpit. Both of Gyro and HSI versions good. Smoothly settled down into FSX:SE. Thank you for your great info, Scott!

I also found some information about this beautiful plane ...I will write them here however, they might need more verification:

- Maximum range about 1,500nm depends on wight, cruise altitude and wind direction
- fuel capacity is 800 gallons or about 5,600 lps 2 main fuel tanks and 2 auxiliary duel tanks on the wing?
- But it seems like you need to fill the wing's tanks (same like jets) then move to main tanks
- Dry weight = 16,800 lps
- TOW = 25,200 lps
- Max. speed = 200 knots/h probably not at service altitude but 1t 10,000 +/-
- Stall speed = 58 knots/h
- No flaps configuration is required for takeoff however, trim settings I found suitable is +2.5 ?
- Regarding approach and landing flaps there is a nice metal plate showing all speeds/configuration required
- Service ceiling = 23,000 feet

I hope for pilots new as me will find it useful

I read somewhere the dc3 was the most widely used commercial aircraft until the 737 passed it. A tail dragged does take a bit of a touch.

Actually I found it very interesting, It has the kind of feel of a sailing boat and not a plane ideal for short flights and scenery seeing smile
