A few days before I updated to Windows 10, something happened to my Nvidia Driver. I left my laptop on overnight to allow a long-haul flight to continue, and when I woke up the following morning, I saw a BSOD with the error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Ever since, I can't access free flight on FSX-SE, even after I've updated to Windows 10 and changed the driver to version 353.62. If I do, I get the following message while the screen flickers before cutting to a BSOD with the message VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE:

Display Driver Nvidia has stopped responding and then recovered.

What's wrong? How do I fix it?

Personally, I'd go back to Windows 7 and wait 6-9 months before upgrading to Windows 10. Gives "Bill" a chance to get the bugs worked out. But again, that's just me. :-)

Well, I give up. I'm sending my computer to tech support when I get home from Europe, which isn't going to be for another two weeks. Hopefully, I can get my GPU fixed.

[EDIT] I have read posts from here: https://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=125636 and I have found out others have this issue. I don't have the resources right now to fix my computer (Internet) but I'll try my best to get back to flying by the end of the month.

People are already having problems with Windows 10 automatically updating their GPU drivers causing problems with their flight sims. I am sticking with Windows 7, it works and doesn't cause problems.

I just took a look at people having the same issue as me, and they say that parts of my old driver still exist in my computer even after installation, so maybe I can use my 820M after all.
