This is a pretty simple question. Are there any plans to either make XACARS usable for things like check rides, and are there any plans to modify XACARS to provide full X-Plane support? As much as I'm fine with FSX, I much prefer X-Plane, and I foresee a lot of people switching as FSX gets older and X-Plane is improved.

We don't write XACARS. It's a pretty primitive package, and the authors seem to go out of their way to avoid contact.

I'd love a C++ developer to write a bridge between X-Plane and ACARS, and I've yet to find one.

Yeah, if I knew the slightest thing about programming I would. DVACARS for X-Plane would be ideal, especially if it was a plugin and you didn't have to exit fullscreen for it, but any version would be nice. They should send out an email asking for someone, as I'm sure there are tons of people here who wish they could switch to X-Plane, but don't since DVA doesn't support it. I bet that if they really wanted to, they could get someone to make DVACARS and X-Plane compatible.
