Ok so last night i was on my computer looking at weatherbell and and esrl and talking to u guys then i shut my computer down the normal way by pressing from start
Menu "shutdown" and went to bed everything normal. I was gone all day yesterday and the computet was shut down all day while i was gone. Now this morning i turned it on and it comes up with "your bios has been currupt and it is now updating/fixing it" it did that then took me to the "install windows 7" screen. At which point i did a system restore to a week ago.
And it said that was succesful, So i restarted computer then shut it down and unplugged it waited for a minute then turned it back on. It Took me back to the same page as before to reinstall windows 7. Anyway i have wverything on that computer, some of the stuff is on dropbox and some is on an external hd.
Someone told me that this doesnt just happen and it mighta been hacked/compromised.
I havent visited any untrustowrthy sites, i have firewall and protection, i have downloaded one thing in the past week it was a weather sounding viewer from the NOAA, that was 6 days ago...so idk if u knoe how to fix this.
It could not have been power surge, i have two APC huge power surge protectors with battery backup with everything plugged in to those.
I have liquid cooling, no warnings came up, everything was perfectly normal.

I believe something like this happened to my first laptop. I don't think your computer is compromised, but it definitely needs tech assistance.

if you put your windows install disk and boot from there you can get more advanced diag boot prompts than uefi standards.
perform memtest and chkdsk /f E: or which ever drive letter is your OS.

Took out the HD's today, gonna get a SATA->USB plug to try to get the data off them and back them up, then I will do a clean install of Windows. If that works then im good, if not then Its likely hardware issue and will have to get it looked at. @Sean I tried putting disk in and it wont show up, i hear the drive turning on but nothing happens. I put it on a USB drive, no luck either.
Thx guysss

simply putting the cd in wont boot up on start, you haveto enter BIOS and change the boot order to CD first.

Just got my computer back, ended up having to replace the Power Supply and both HDD's which were all fried up. Reinstalled windows today, now gotta find all my thousands of download links in my emails from all the places I bought FSX software/scenery/addons over the years...oh boy long road ahead of me. Lost all my files, everything in the crash.
