After about a month of wondering what happened to my GT820M Driver, I found out that all this occurred because I overheated my GPU after a few flights (It hit 84 degrees Celsius for an hour). So I decided to start fresh with the same laptop after a refund. I just got home with it, actually, and I'm going to go back to flying shortly. Now I'm looking into an SSD drive and a copy of Windows 7 Home Basic x64 or higher. Could you please provide good places to look for both of these?

Thank you, I'll consider it. I just remembered that this PC actually does not have a disk drive, so I may have to stick with Windows 10.

You can buy a $20-25 LG optical drive at best buy or B&H like I did for my laptop (now you scare me saying you overheated the GPU. I built my own external fan to blow more air into the intake and that helps it, but I need a cooling pad with fans under it too).

Okay, I just saw a warranty void sticker covering one of the screws for the hard drive, meaning I can't use an SSD. This means there is just one more question. Downgrade to Windows 7, or upgrade to Windows 10?

Agreed. I'll start looking for Windows 7 64-bit copies to purchase/install over the weekend. I don't have a disk drive, but I will get Windows 7 onto my laptop.

[EDIT] Did some more thinking, and got Windows 10 instead for some reason. I am still getting slight improvements to Windows 8.1 in FSX-SE. I'll be back next week at most, once I finish getting my addons, and maybe optimizing my PC.
