Out of curiosity, what would be the possibility of adding cargo operations for at least KLM and AF? I feel somewhat sad having the 77F sitting, gathering dust in my hangar... Now, I know that Delta doesn't have a Cargo department, but Air France and KLM both do. I'm not familiar with the AFVA side of things, so forgive me if they do have cargo operations.

Good questions Jakob. Delta actually did fly cargo when they inherited it from NW. They may still a little but I believe all the 747F's were retired or sold off.

AFVA does support cargo ops but we don't here at DVA. Perhaps one day in the future but we have enough on our plate right now.

Okay, that's about what I thought. You guys are really busy keeping this VA stable as it is, so I understand that starting a cargo side of thing would be insane. Thanks for the response!

Well..... technically delta does do cargo contracts with various countries and companies. I know American ships iPhones back from China once assembled, and Delta does a lot of fruit from central and south America.

Now knowing KLM does have the cargo ops makes me a little sad, because that was my plan once achieving stage 5 rankings. I might do AFVA, but just not sure...

Just for historical purposes, Kalitta got 8 out of the ten NWA/DAL 747-200 freighters. The other two are in storage after being returned to the lessor. If this works, here is a link to the Planespotters page for the former NWA cargo dogs.
https://www.planespotters.net/production-list/search?fleet=Delta-Air-Lines&manufacturer=Boeing&subtype=747-200&fleetStatus=historic
If the link doesn't work directly, just go to the Planespotters homepage and search from there. (It is an incredible site, BTW)
The freighters were based in ANC and somw NWA guys have said it was like it's own airline: no real connection with the happenings in the lower 48.
