Just flew a fairly long flight. On approach some of the scenery was just white, just big blocks of white. Had this happen last week as well. Any ideas on this one? Thanks

Check your files to make sure that all the scenery and textures for that area are there, or, restart the FS at that airport and check and see if you can solve it on ground.

No, is seems to be after a longer flight. The ground texture coming into airports look like a white cover of snow. It usually square patches of white.

If it only happens after a longer flight, it may be a case of running out of memory (physical or GPU) or GPU overheating.

An idea. Download, install and run GPU-Z. When you get the white scenery, pause the sim and switch to GPU-Z. Under the sensors tab, look at GPU temperature and Memory Used. I had a problem where textures would go all screwy, but only with ImagineSim KATL and the LDS767 - turns out I was exceeding the 1GB in my (then) graphics card.

could be a possibility of overlapping sceneries, or OOM as luke is suggesting, do you have alot of payware airports? When you start FSX it loads all of the scenery you have active onto memory,

I have had this happen with FS9 and found I had too much add on scenery active eating all my memory, I disabled alot of airports i wasn't going to say Europe for instance, And the problem corrected itself.

Also had this happen when I had added addon global mesh sceneries and forgot to install a specific scenery in the correct folder path,

hasnt happened since.
