Hi guys,
So while making a dispatch briefing at SimBrief, I looked down at the partners and saw something new for me, PA, or Project Airbus. I looked at what they offer and decided I'd add a few of the free ware models since they were almost payware quality.
Installation the first few times for the A380 went a bit rough, but the third time I got everything but the sounds to come up right. For some reason, I'm stuck with the default cessna 172 engine noise, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I use FS9 if anyone else would like to replicate the issue. When I install the aircraft, all I do is put the base package in my aircraft folder, download say Korean Air variant, place the texture in the correct variant, along with the other files, copy texture files from the common textures to the korean air texture folder, and then hit the .exe for it to enter the .CFG stuff.... That's all they say to do, but obviously I'm missing something..
Thanks,
Jacob
P.S. I Also have tried the A318, A319, and A320 all to no avail...

If sounds are missing, you'll need to copy the sound folder from another aircraft's folder. Check the aircraft.cfg to see which sound folder is being sourced for the particular livery, it should be:
Sound=
With a single sound folder containing the audio files and sound.cfg.

ahhh okay.. I remember this issue now.
It was aliasing the default 737-4 sound set, but I've deleted that one to make way for the iFly 737... Thanks for reminding me about that.

Glad you found that treasure trove Jacob. Many of Rikoo's models and our fleet installers here are based on POSKY models. They do excellent work for the price!

Yup...
I took the sounds from the iFly 747 RR engines and put them there, which I like, A LOT. So we'll see if it worked or not. I also need to find out how to get the FMC working...

So.....
I've found a self installer for the A320 for a BA variant. Installed the A320 base, then put all the files from the installer into the 231 variant (i think that's the right numbers), and started up FS. Engine sounds seemed fine, panel was there, everything was fine.
I just need to figure out how to install the FMC stuff which downloaded as torrents... Something completely new to me...
