I use PMDG 737 and 777. Using FMC tells me that airport I am trying to fly to is not in database. How do I add airport to the PMDG FMC?

I know for iFly products you have to manually create the file and stand coordinates so the FMC can recognize it. I see videos all the time on Youtube of people using them, but have no idea how they do it for PMDG

What airport Jim? Sometimes the name has changed and it's in there under a different name. There is also stuff on the internet for adding Kai Tek, maybe duplicate that but for the airport you want.

Trying to fly to Kai Tek. When I input the destination in the FMC I get the warning "not in database"

You will not get Kai Tek with any new / updated AIRAC. Please see this post for a solution:

I now added the link above. I just landed at the airport and ACARS is telling me that I did not land at the airport. What is going on? Do I need to actually download the airport as well?

According to FSX I landed at VHHX. ACARS would not let me file a PIREP and did not record and stats.

What specifically did ACARS say? How far away from the airport did it say you were?

(The reason I ask, by the way, is that if you land at an airport that is not your destination, ACARS will prompt you to change the destination and tell you what the closest airport is. The other option, of course, is that either FSUIPC didn't detect you are on the ground or the FSUIPC connection errored out at some point during your flight.)

Now I'm confused. Earlier in the thread you said "ACARS is telling me that I did not land at the airport." We've had several hundred flights land at Kai Tak (including several of my own), so there shouldn't be any problem there. Try a flight from VHHH to VHHX for fun and see what happens.
