We welcome to the DC-6 program two additional historic aircraft. The Convair 240 was an earlier version of the CV-340 and was flown by Northeast, Western and Pan Am. The CV-580 was operated by Republic who was eventually acquired by Northwest. You can obtain flyable versions of these aircraft at calclassic.com. Although the CV-580 was technically a turboprop conversion, we're keeping it with its brothers in the DC-6 program. Much thanks to Jim Daigneau, the DC-6 CP, and Tom Gibson of Calclassic.com for helping us fill in the data for the fleet.

Update your ACARS once connected by typing in .update

Obtain the ratings for these aircraft by requesting additional ratings in the DC-6 program, provided you already have the Stage 3 DC-6 rating.

Thanks for the prompt addition, Andrew. I got called out for overtime flying yesterday--ATL-MSN-MSP-DH back to ATL: 2 of the 5300 flight segments for Wednesday. Happy Thanksgiving!

BTW all new CV-580 drivers: depending on the source and version of your CV-580, you may get a popup saying "the trgdme is not supported". I'm not sure how this gauge remianed in the panel.cfg but it won't hurt anything. If the popup is too annoying, just open the panel.cfg and find the "gauge09=prop2ERKdme," entry. You will have one somewhere in the 2D windows and possibly one in the VC. Simply put a double slash // in front of the gauge to make it look like this: //gauge09=prop2ERKdme, and save. The trgdme popup should go away. I will have more notes on this airplane in the DC-6 Cooler channel. It's a very nice addition to the fleet.
