Odd issue, and perhaps limited to one aircraft type, but haven't tested that yet. I have both FS9 and FSX:SE in Windows 8.1 Pro, and hope to use both (some payware is on FS9 and I'm too cheap to rebuy it). But when trying to start a flight in FS9 with the fleet BAe-146, FS9 crashed every time ACARS was open and connected. Anyone else ever seen this?

Seems like it was just the BAe-146. Anything else would startup ok. Guess I'll just find a new model.

Few weeks back thought of giving a try to the BAE-146 while commuting over Europe. Soon after struggling with its installation, have faced odd things with my FS9 and FSX like freezing screens, low FPS (FSX) and few more to remember. I like things when they function and I know my systems and my PC serving me for quite some time without a hitch. WIN7-64 Ultimate, lots of on board ROM, tough video card etc... bottom line: I gave-up on that model for now. Maybe will revert at a later stage....will stick to my Boeing and Airbus fleets...
