Hey guys! My computer broke so I need a new one. Here's a website where I found a few good gaming computers but I'm not a wiz with these things so I'd like to know if you guys think these are any good.
http://www.paradigit.nl/computers/gaming-computers
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks

I have something agaist pre-packaged "gaming" computers. I know this sounds easier said than done, but you would save money (or at least ge more bang for the buck) by building a system.
If building a system is not for you, then at least I would recommend visiting a flexible PC retailer where you can build a custom system.
I got my rig from
CyberpowerPC.com
You can go as high-end or as conservative as you want.

I found this Dutch website where I can build my pc. It's: http://pc-samenstellen.nl
Because I live in the Netherlands it's easier. So I built a pc I think would be good for flying. What do you guys think?
I really appreciate all of your help. I translated the Dutch to English.

your 4790k is magic, thats your ticket to performance, If you in the future go waterooling for a CLC h100i or similar you can overclock to 4.7 ghz so easily and really get the performance out of it,

Two thoughts - you're probably better off with 16GB in that machine than 8, and you may want to consider a 256GB SSD.

The extra 8GB will increase disk cache and performance at a relatively low price and give you some future-proofing. The perceived performance increase you will get from the SSD is quite amazing. Look at my "if you don't already have an SSD" thread.

I'd look a 6 gen processor, also i7 isn't everything, you gotta make sure it got a pretty decent clock speed as well I'd aim for at least 4ghz seeing as unless you fly X-Plane you'll need a fast processor.
I got a i7 with turbo boost to 3.4ghz in my set up and a gtx970 and in the pmdg I'm barely getting 20 frames a sec plus the on core is at max when I'm flying
Just my 2 cents

your problem with your I7 is not the processor, its FSx which is made for single core 32 bit processing, why only one core is working.
The I7 though can easily cranked up to 4.7 ghz with a simple closed loop cooler say h100i or similar and keep the temps cooler than AIr.
I have no problems with FSX FS9 with my setup and thats a I7 4.7 ghz with asus strix R9 390 8GB

FSX definitely handles more than one core, albeit in a limited way. You need to ensure you have SP1 or greater installed.

well yes but not 64 bit that can handle multiple streams with multiple cores, there is a way to modify your cpu with FSX but changing the affinity masking a group on Facebook this guy is helping others to do this getting way better frames with just some tweaks,

32-bit code can be just as multi-threaded; all that changes is that 64-bit code can access more RAM. The challenge FSX has is organizing the work in such a way that all of the cores are being worked and actually doing something useful.
Think about this analagy; you have some tree logs and branches. If you get a guy with an axe, you can turn it into firewood. Adding more people with more axes scales up your production of firewood pretty linerarly. Now, let's change the task a bit - you have to chop some firewood, set it on fire, and cook a steak, roast potatoes and some vegetables, then set a table and eat it. I doubt you'd manage to get more than two folks busy doing that task, because a lot of it is waiting around for things to complete (starting the fire, cooking the food) or waiting on previous steps. Probably the only thing that scales linearly with people is the eating part.
Code is very similar.
Cheers!

God rid of my AMD FX8350 for i7 Skylake 6700K and it was night and day difference even though they both run at 4.4ghz clock speed.
Running FS on a SSD is huge. Having a solid motherboard and fast memory helps as well. The 6th gen i7's support DDR4 mem which I have running @ 3200mhz.
P3D is utilizing all 4 cores quite evenly, and actually runs better w/out the AffinityMask tweak. For $1500, you might be able to go 6th gen Intel.
I have all sliders to the right and no more tweaking required.
The pre-built setup you were quoted isn't bad, and better than what most people run, but you might want to price out those components at newegg.com individually and see if you can upgrade a bit more for the same $.
Read some reviews on the components, especially on the motherboard.

A friend of mine said that I can get the 140gb SSD and 1TB HDD. But put the FS on the HDD and all of the security software and other important stuff on SSD. Does this make sense and would FS still run as fast having it on the HDD instead of SSD?
