Another cool short commuter line Pan Am Express ran out of JFK was to Groton Connecticut and onward to upstate New York. This route adds KGON, in Groton, CT, to our database. It only has a 5,000 ft runway so pilots should note this limitation. For those of you who don't know, Groton was historically served as the home of the General Dynamics submarine facility since pre-WW2 days.
This route will take you over Long Island sound to Groton, across the upstate of NY and the finger lakes region to Syracuse and Rochester before returning you back to NYC.
