Hello everybody,
I was hoping to get vPilot running on my laptop for CTP this Saturday so I can keep my P3D in full screen as I make the journey across the Atlantic! I am running into an issue with vPilot though, and have been searching ALL over the internet to find the solution. So far, I have been able to successfully get FSUIPC talking with WideFS on my laptop, and have completed two flights with FSRealTime and DVACARS running on my laptop while running ASN and P3D on my desktop without any issue! Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful with getting vPilot to work and fear that I might have to bite the bullet and fly in windowed mode on Saturday. I'll quickly run through the things that I have tried and hopefully somebody can help me fix this! SC stands for Server Computer while CC stands for client computer.
1. Start Traffic Proxy (SC), Start P3D (SC), Traffic Proxy connects to simulator just fine when loading the aircraft at the gate. Start vPilot (CC), vPilot continues to search for the connection and will not connect.
2. Start Traffic Proxy (SC), Start P3D (SC), TP connects again. Start WideFS (CC), Start vPilot (CC- I know it is supposed to work without WideFS now but wanted to try it), vPilot searches for connection.
3. Start P3D (SC), Start WideFS (CC), Start vPilot (CC), again... no connection.
As far as I know I have followed all of the manuals given by vPilot, as well as the ones suggested by Hifi, correctly for connecting using the correct SimConnect versions on both PCs (Installed all of them on both), "correct" .cfg and .xml files including pasting the files directly into the vPilot folder... no dice!
Anybody know how to fix it?
Thank you so much, and blue skies!
