The DC-6 check ride script has been updated to reflect the increased number of options available to DVA pilots. The most significant change is the choice of aircraft. Pilots may now use any freeware or payware DC-6 or DC-6B model as long as it is able to communicate with ACARS. The Just Flight DC-6B is an example of a good payware model and the much anticipated PMDG DC-6 will hopefully be available in the near future.
A note to "jet jocks": flying radial engines and propliners is nothing like jets. Propliners do not takeoff, climb, descend or land at all like jets. Be sure you are familiar with procedures and power settings and practice for a bit before attempting the check ride. And, as always, safety is paramount: do not try to salvage an unstable approach. Go around and set up for a good, stable approach. Yes, yes, I know it's just a simulator. But, in the real world, a pilot trains like he flies and flies like he trains: it's up to you to make it as real as you can.

Pilots are not permitted to discuss check rides in the cooler. razz

Just kidding. Thanks for updating Jimmy. I may try it in the Justflight DC-6B just to see if I can pass it.
