Our own DC-8 ACP Adam Marion has volunteered to compile screenshots of our fleet for each aircraft and help us update our Image Gallery. If you've not seen it lately, its a bit outdated and Adam has volunteered to help DVA in this endeavour.

Please email your screenshots to Adam directly. His email is adam_marion@deltava.org. We will need screenies of all our fleet aircraft, preferably in Delta paints from today and even yesteryear. May be FS2004, FSX, FSX SE, or Prepar3d. Payware shots are ok. Do not submit any real life pictures. Do not put copyrights on them as I don't know how anyone can even legally copyright a screenshot of licensed software. We're trying to provide to all pilots a resource. When I joined DVA, I had no idea how to tell the difference between a 767 and 757 and the gallery was a great resource. Much thanks to Adam for volunteering his time to help put this together. cool

Lets set a tentative deadline for 1 month form today 8/21. Be sure to send screenies of any aircraft in our fleet. In the air, on the ground, at the gate, in storms, at night. If there isn't a Delta livery, a codeshare or historical airline livery will be fine.

Thank you all for your assistance with this in helping make this part of our web site more up to date. If we get enough good entries, we may even short list and let pilots vote on which one they want to see in the Gallery. Hopefully your submission will look better than the one above.

Good questions Jim. jpeg preferred I guess. The gallery photos are 600x400. Dont' send any 20MB screenshots. I guess lets aim for 1200x1080 size. The larger the screenie, the more bandwidth the web site will require (equals more operating cost).

External views only. If you look in the gallery, that's sort of what we're aiming for: external views of the aircraft. Sort of an Aircraft Identification 101 type look. Time of day can vary but the existing gallery has some pretty dark screenies that lose a lot of detail.

Minimum size? I was worried more about maximum size and bandwidth issues. I suppose we can always shrink them if needed. Our GVA email has size limitations so if people send 10MB of files, won't they fail to be received by Adam?

You want a minimum size (ideally 1920x1080) which allows you room to crop down to the standard size. (Let me rephrase, you probably want a consistent size, and the bigger the better in terms of details). If they get big then users can always compress before they send.

Sorry I haven't been on here for a couple of weeks. I've had between RW work, plus this last week I had a bad upper respiratory infection, then now dealing with severe case of gout in my foot.

I have received a lot of good submissions! I have gone through all of the photos and I have found there to be quite a few good submissions! We are going to have a wonderful fleet gallery.

Unfortunately, there were some photos that I could not view or there were too many photos for me to be able to look through. There were several people that sent me over two-hundred photos and I do appreciate that but I may not have been able to look through all of those photos.

With that being said, I need some photos for aircraft that I have zero submissions for. If you sent me a photo of an aircraft below, I was unable to receive it or review it. Please send it again.
