50 years ago this weekend (9/11/66) C. E Woolman, a pioneer of commercial aviation, passed away. He was born in Bloomington Indiana and eventually became CEO of Delta Airlines, converting it from a crop duster and mail service into a commercial airline.
Added today, for one day only, are DVH Flight 917 Legs 1 and 2. These flights are between Atlanta and Bloomington, Indiana. Use the find-a-flight option at the left to create a draft flight report in your log book before its gone.
Enjoy! This flight will purge with the regular schedule update at 2AM Sunday. Type in .update in ACARS chat box to enable this change.

Awesome, Andrew! Fantastic idea to honor a great man.
I recently had the chance to talk to a maintenance man who was hired in 1968 in ATL. He was actually building maintenance and his shop was between Hangar 1 & 2, near the current museum "jet tunnel". Though he was hired two years after Mr. Wool man died, the stories were still often told.
He said one young parts runner noticed a man in a white shirt with his sleeves rolled up, picking up nuts, bolts and things from the hangar floor. He went to help and when they finished, the man said something like "Thank you for the help son. If you take care of your nickels and dimes, your dollars will take care of themselves." The young man's co-worker asked "What were you doing, trying brown nose?" A the young man had no idea what his co-worker meant. His co-worker said " That's Mr. Woolmark, the man that owns the company."
There are many stories like this out there. So, DVA pilots, fly this turn around with pride!
